Portrait and Caricature Commission Terms

By placing a portrait or caricature commission order with Starlight Falls Studios you agree to the following terms. Please read them before ordering.

PAYMENT

All portrait and caricature commissions require full payment upfront before work begins. No artwork will be started or delivered until payment is confirmed.

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

You are responsible for providing a clear, well-lit photo that gives me enough detail to work from. Low quality, heavily filtered, or blurry images may affect the quality of the final piece. If your photo is not suitable I will let you know before starting and give you the opportunity to provide a better one. Providing a photo constitutes your confirmation that you have the right to use it for this purpose.

REVISIONS

Each tier includes a set number of revisions as stated in the product description. Basic includes one revision. Standard includes two revisions. Premium includes three revisions. Additional revisions beyond what is included will be quoted at 15-25 euro each depending on the scope of changes before they are made. If you do not approve the revision quote no further changes will be made and the piece will be delivered as is. Revision requests must be submitted clearly and all at once where possible. Repeated small requests that collectively exceed your included revisions will be treated as additional revisions and quoted accordingly.

REFUNDS

If you request a cancellation before work has begun a full refund will be issued. Once work has started no refunds will be given. The payment you made covers the time and skill that has already gone into your piece. Because these are custom orders created specifically for you they cannot be resold or transferred to another party under any circumstances.

UNRESPONSIVE CLIENTS

If I am waiting on information, approvals, or responses from you and you go unresponsive for 14 consecutive days your order will be closed with no refund. I will make reasonable attempts to contact you before closing the order. If you need to pause your commission for any reason please let me know in advance so we can make arrangements.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Work in progress images are shared for approval purposes only. You may not share, post, or distribute any work in progress images publicly without my written permission. Final artwork may be shared publicly once it has been delivered and full payment has been received.

OWNERSHIP AND LICENSING

Once full payment has been received and your commission is complete you own the final artwork for personal use. All portrait and caricature commissions include a personal use license only. Starlight Falls Studios retains the right to display completed artwork on the website, portfolio, and social media for promotional purposes. If you have privacy concerns about your piece being shared publicly please let me know at the time of ordering and I will respect that request.

COMMERCIAL USE

Portrait and caricature commissions are for personal use only. If you intend to use your commission for any commercial purpose including merchandise for sale, brand assets, or any project generating income you must disclose this before ordering. Commercial use without an agreed license is a violation of these terms.

PRODUCT PRINTING

If you would like your completed portrait or caricature printed onto a product, that is available as a separate service. Product selection, printing, and shipping are quoted individually after your artwork is complete. No printing will begin until you have approved the quote.

ABUSIVE OR HARASSING BEHAVIOR

I am one person running this business and I reserve the right to work in a respectful environment. If a client is abusive, harassing, or threatening one warning will be issued and documented. If the behavior continues the order will be cancelled, a partial refund will be issued based on work completed, and the client will be blocked from future orders. Documentation of all interactions is kept.

SCOPE CHANGES

If you significantly change your request after work has begun the additional work will be quoted before it is started. Changing the concept entirely after work has started is not covered under your original payment and will be treated as a new order.

TURNAROUND TIME

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on order volume and complexity. Basic portraits and caricatures are typically completed within 2-3 business days. Standard within 3-5 business days. Premium within 5-7 business days. If you have a hard deadline please state it clearly at the time of ordering and I will confirm whether it is achievable before work begins. Rush orders may incur an additional fee.

WHAT I WILL NOT PRODUCE

I reserve the right to refuse any request at my discretion. I will not produce any sexual or inappropriate content involving minors or animals. I will not produce any content that depicts, glorifies, or references abuse of any kind toward people, children, or animals. I will not produce hate symbols or content of a hateful or discriminatory nature.

AGREEMENT

By placing your order and replying to the confirmation email confirming you have read and agree to these terms, you are entering into a binding agreement with Starlight Falls Studios. Your email reply serves as your formal confirmation and is timestamped as your record of agreement.

FINAL NOTE

These terms exist to protect both of us. I want every commission to be a good experience and I will always communicate openly and professionally. I ask for the same in return.
